Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detailed oriented, and energetic licensed Optometrist with a great personality to join a team of well-established and high pace practice Ophthalmic surgeons and physicians in Clinton, MD. You will be rewarded with an exciting career opportunity to work with a group of the region’s leading ophthalmologists specializing in Vision disorders, Macular degeneration, Glaucoma, Retina, cataract, and more.
You should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively adapt to a fast-paced environment. The optometrist will display excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the commitment to provide comfortable experiences for all patients and visitors. Your duties include but are not limited to analyzing vision tests, identifying sight problems as well as prescribing corrective lenses and eyeglasses.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests
- Diagnose defects of the eye, such as astigmatism, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other vision disorders
- Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to sight issues based on each patient’s specific case and medical history
- Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses
- Advise patients on proper eye care techniques
- Keep updated and accurate medical records for all patients
- Refer patients to other providers as needed for further evaluation and treatment

Experience
Minimum one year of experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply
Compensation
$90,000 – $160,000 base salary + performance incentives
