Job Description

We are searching for Dental Assistant with X-Ray or Radiology certification to join a friendly and welcoming Family Dentistry practice in Baltimore, MD (Hamilton neighborhood) . The Associate must be passionate, patient-oriented and friendly as patient experience is at the heart of the organization.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. Your knowledge of dental anatomy, infection control protocols, and proficiency in Dentrix software will be essential in providing high-quality care.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team. Your understanding of HIPAA regulations will ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
  • Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
  • Provide post-operative instructions to patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Radiolology/X-ray Certification
  • Proficiency in Dentrix software
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
  • Experience with pediatric dental assisting is a plus
  • Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
  • Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
  • Proficient in medical imaging techniques

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
