Established practice looking for an energetic, personable chiropractic assistant for a busy chiropractic offices in Baltimore, MD. Additional openings are available at the Glen Burnie and Hyattsville, MD locations. This position is a full time position. You will be required to greet patient’s in a friendly manner as well as care for them during treatment times. You will also be responsible for patient care which will include bringing patients into treatment rooms and performing certain treatments. Knowledge of health insurance a big plus. Knowledge and familiarity with chiropractic a huge plus. Competitive salary and other benefits available with certain requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

• Welcomes our patients and checks them into the office.
• Performs our screening tests and records this for the doctor’s use in the examination and treatment. Supports the doctor with the patients treatment plan.
• Maintains organized files on all patients using the office software.
• Abides by HIPAA laws regarding sharing of personal medical information.
• Attends to patient communication via phone and email.
• Manages referrals in and out of our office.
• Keeps the office clean and presentable, doing spot cleaning throughout the day and thorough cleaning at the end of each business day.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be personable with a professional demeanor and able to exercise courtesy and tact with all patients.
• Must be familiar with HIPAA regulations and medical information sharing practices.
• Must be willing to undergo further training.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be highly organized.
• Must have strong communication skills – verbal and written.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision the majority of the time.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Must have two to three years’ experience working in health preferably in a Chiropractic office.

Chirotouch software mastery is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Required)
• Maryland Board Certified Chiropractic Assistant is required.

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
